The Brief

Our client, a global recruitment company specialising in the Healthcare sector, decided to consolidate some of their divisions into one 20,000 sq foot flagship floor near Kings Cross.

The location enabled good cooperation and communication, due to its close proximity to their Head Office in the same locality. We created a shared reception, meeting, interview and training space, together with two very separate wings complete with large break out spaces, one-on-one meeting areas and individual offices.

There was a requirement to standardise finishes across their offices nationally, with this office setting the high standard for the regional offices.

As our client specialises in Healthcare, we designed the offices to fit within the common colour palettes used in private and public health centres. Following showroom visits and product demonstrations, Milliken LVT was selected for the common ways and breakout spaces, with 'Laylines' and 'Formwork' to the open plan areas. Due to the high number of staff, it was important to have durable furniture and finishes.

Breakout spaces were an opportunity to add a splash of colour and a space where staff could not only rest, but could also collaborate. We introduced a mixture of high and low tables, together with banquette seating. Appliances were carefully considered and bespoke 'London Skyline' splash backs were installed.

Bench Desking

We supplied bench desking for ease of cable management, (especially as the power and data was via perimeter trunking). Expansive open plan areas were broken up with high backed sofas, so that one-on-one/ ad hoc meetings could take place without booking a meeting room.

The meeting rooms were a mixture of sizes and themes to suit the differing styles of meeting that would take place in them. From walnut finished tables, through to 'perfect sense' tops and leather upholstery.
